Ivalua clients: which companies use Ivalua?

The short answer

Ivalua says more than 500 organisations use it. Named clients include Michelin, Volkswagen Group, Pernod Ricard, Hiscox, Orange, Honeywell and public buyers such as NASPO, Virginia, New York City and CERN.

Which companies use Ivalua?

Ivalua says more than 500 organisations use it. Named clients with a public source include Michelin, ArcelorMittal, Volkswagen Group, Thales, Pernod Ricard, Orange, Hiscox, Covéa and Honeywell. Public buyers include the State of Virginia, New York City, the NASPO cooperative contract and CERN.

The tables below list clients by sector. Each name has a primary source: an Ivalua press release or case study, a client’s own page, or a public tender notice. The date is the date of that source, not proof that the client still uses Ivalua today.

What does Ivalua say about its client base?

Ivalua says “over 500 of the world’s most admired brands” use it, and that 2025 brought a record number of new customers. Its case study page claims “the industry’s leading customer retention rate for 20+ years”, without a figure. Forrester’s 2024 Wave gave Ivalua 96% customer retention. These are the vendor’s and an analyst’s figures; none is audited.

Ivalua customer stories by sector, read on 25 October 2026. By region: Europe, Middle East and Africa 48, global 29, Americas 26, Asia-Pacific 9

These numbers count published stories, not customers; they show where Ivalua has the most references to offer, led by manufacturing.

For 2025, Ivalua named ten new customers without saying what each one bought: BAE Systems Inc., Pernod Ricard, Beneva, CNP Assicura, Deichmann, Oman Air, Pacific International Lines, Konica Minolta, Harman and Convergint.

Which banks and insurers use Ivalua?

Banks and insurers that Ivalua names with a scope include Crelan in Belgium, Hiscox, CNP Assicura in Italy, Covéa in France and Navy Federal Credit Union in the United States. Several cite regulation, such as the EU’s DORA rules on digital resilience, as a reason to control suppliers in one platform.

Banks and insurers named by Ivalua with a scope

Insurers are the best documented, and most of them stress regulation and supplier risk rather than buying alone.

Ivalua’s financial services page also shows logos without a scope or date, including BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, Groupe BPCE, Generali, Macif and Danske Bank. BNP Paribas is the one I can speak for: I worked on three full-cycle Ivalua implementations there, described in the v156, v164 and v182 case studies.

Which manufacturers and industrial groups use Ivalua?

Manufacturing is Ivalua’s largest group of references. Named industrial clients include Michelin, ArcelorMittal, Volkswagen Group, DRÄXLMAIER, SKF, Thales, Imerys and Honeywell. Their scopes go from supplier master data only to the full chain, and several started with one module and added more later.

Industrial clients often start with one block, such as suppliers or sourcing, and widen the scope years later.

Supplier quality and risk, which matter most in direct spend, are covered in Ivalua supplier management.

Which healthcare, consumer and telecom companies use Ivalua?

In healthcare and pharma, Ivalua names Hikma Pharmaceuticals, Laboratoires Théa, Norway’s hospital procurement trust and Cleveland Clinic in the United States. In consumer goods and telecom, Pernod Ricard chose Ivalua for all its entities in 2025, and Orange describes a 13-year relationship.

Client-side documents, such as a supplier guide or a tender notice, confirm use better than a vendor logo.

Which public sector organisations use Ivalua?

Public buyers are the best documented Ivalua clients, because their contracts and tenders are published. In the United States they include the State of Virginia, New York City, San Diego County and the NASPO cooperative contract. In Europe they include the French state, CERN, EPFL and Norwegian agencies. Australia has SA Water.

Public-sector Ivalua clients with a public source

Public contracts name the platform, the integrator and often the amounts; they are the most checkable Ivalua references.

Ivalua’s public sector page also shows logos for Arizona, Ohio, South Carolina, New York City and BCLC, dated July 2025. The research behind this page found that Ohio, Arizona and South Carolina do not name Ivalua on their own procurement sites, so they are left out of the table. What public contracts say about prices is in Ivalua pricing.

What can you learn from Ivalua’s public references?

Use public references to find a client like you, then ask to speak to them. A useful reference is in your sector, of your size, with your modules, and live for some years. A logo alone tells you none of that, and a press release written at signing says nothing about go-live.

  1. Pick two or three clients from the tables above that match your sector, country and scope.
  2. Check the date: a 2018 release on sourcing says nothing about the same client’s invoices today.
  3. Prefer client-side proof: a supplier guide, a tender notice or a public contract shows the platform is in use.
  4. Ask Ivalua or the integrator for a reference call with that client, and ask about their last upgrade.
  5. Ask who implemented it. Many releases name the integrator, such as KPMG, Capgemini, PwC, Fluxym or CKS.

One limit applies to every list of clients. No public source was found of a customer that replaced Ivalua with another suite. Maryland’s project went badly, but the State kept its Ivalua platform and hired a new firm to stabilise it. What users say about the platform is in Ivalua reviews.

Who can help you if you are an Ivalua client?

I am an independent, certified Ivalua consultant (L1 to L3), not an Ivalua partner. I work directly for clients or alongside their integrator. You can bring me in for senior missions, an Ivalua health check of a live platform, or an Ivalua team of certified consultants from my network.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions people ask, each one sourced above.

How many customers does Ivalua have?

Ivalua says more than 500 organisations use its platform, in its release of January 2026 and on its Gartner Peer Insights profile. It is a private company and publishes no audited customer count, and no split by sector or country. Its case study page counts published stories by sector, led by manufacturing.

Which French companies use Ivalua?

French clients named by Ivalua with a scope include Michelin, Thales, Imerys, Pernod Ricard, Orange, Covéa and Laboratoires Théa. BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole, Groupe BPCE and Macif appear as logos. The French state also runs Ivalua Buyer for its procurement system, according to its 2026 tender notice.

Do US government agencies use Ivalua?

Yes. Public sources show the Commonwealth of Virginia, New York City, the State of Maryland and San Diego County on Ivalua. The State of Maine awarded Ivalua a full source-to-pay contract through NASPO ValuePoint in 2023, which other US states can use.

Has any company left Ivalua?

No public source was found of a customer that replaced Ivalua with another suite, in searches of the press and of US, French, European and UK tender notices. That does not prove nobody has left: departures are rarely announced. Maryland stayed on Ivalua after ending its integration contract.

Is BNP Paribas an Ivalua client?

BNP Paribas appears among the logos on Ivalua’s financial services page. I worked on three full-cycle Ivalua implementations at BNP Paribas, from version 156 to version 182, described in my case studies. The v182 platform is delivered and still evolving.
