About Seb Troz, independent Ivalua consultant
I am Seb Troz (Sébastien Troszczynski Arantes), an independent Ivalua consultant and engineer, certified Ivalua L1–L3. I have delivered three full-cycle Ivalua implementations at BNP Paribas and worked in delivery at Sanofi, Crédit Agricole CIB, Société Générale and Vallourec.

One person who speaks to the CPO and to the database.
Most Ivalua programmes split the business consultant from the technical one, and lose time every time a requirement crosses the line. I hold both ends: the procurement process and the SQL behind it.

Who is Seb Troz?
Seb Troz is the short name of Sébastien Troszczynski Arantes, a business and technology consultant who specialises in Ivalua source-to-pay. He is certified Ivalua L1, L2 and L3, and an engineer with an MSc in IT and Finance Engineering from INP Grenoble – ENSIMAG (2009).
I work with procurement and IT teams on Ivalua: senior missions, health checks, project rescue, version upgrades, a team from my network when the project needs more hands, and AI training for procurement teams. My profile is also on LinkedIn.
What path led to Ivalua?
I started by building and selling my own software, then spent eleven years delivering finance software in pharma and banking before moving to Ivalua in 2020.
| Years | Organisation | Role | What I did |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2007–2009 | My own company | Founder | Developed and sold web-based supply chain management software, adopted by three companies and still in use: 100 users in four countries. For a major French sports retailer, item availability rose 6% and stock fell 35% within two years. |
| 2009–2011 | Sanofi | Developer, business analyst | A financial reporting system: specifications, test strategy and test plans, stakeholder workshops. |
| 2011–2014 | Crédit Agricole CIB | Business analyst, project manager | A SaaS product for Basel II/III compliance (ALM, liquidity): LCR and NSFR reports, liquidity balance sheets, delivered by a service centre and tested by an external provider. |
| 2014–2020 | Société Générale | Business and tech consultant, Scrum Master | Delivered Rapsody, a SaaS platform calculating the profitability of international subsidiaries, rolled out to 20 entities worldwide. Led a team of 13, worked with an offshore competence centre in India, set the test strategy and quality gates. |
| 2020–2023 | BNP Paribas | Ivalua business and technical consultant, S2P | Two full-cycle Ivalua implementations, on budget and on schedule: the group platform built and deployed on v156, then completely redesigned on v164. Led a mixed team of 15. |
| 2023–2025 | Vallourec | Programme manager, delivery consulting | A portfolio of four concurrent software projects for a global industrial group: governance, budget control, reporting, the move to SAFe, an offshore development team in Brazil. |
| 2025–now | BNP Paribas | Ivalua techno-functional consultant, S2P/ERP | The third full cycle: a new v182 solution built from scratch, go-live delivered on schedule. Delivered and still evolving: a parallel run with the previous version while entities and users switch over progressively. |
Ivalua since 2020, three full cycles on the same group platform, with a programme role at Vallourec in between; before that, supply chain and finance software in my own company, pharma and banking.

Why work as an independent consultant?
For the richness of clients and environments, and for the freedom of choice and the independence it brings.
Independent does not mean neutral: I implement Ivalua, so I do not run neutral software selections.
Where does Seb Troz work from?
From Cape Town, remotely, with European teams. Cape Town is on UTC+2, so my working day overlaps the European one. I work in French and in English.
How can we work together?
